Premium College Felt Pennants Featured in Circa 1937 Red Ball gum Boxes These premium pennants, featured in Circa 1937 Chicago, Illinois Red Ball Gum Boxes, were provided to the dealers to be used as prizes in promotion of the gum. The prize of a pennant was disclosed on the interior wrapper of the gum. The premium pennants would be handed to the winners directly by the retailer in exchange for the lucky prize-winning wrappers. There were twenty-one different small felt pennants bearing the names of various colleges and universities in each retailer box of gum. *Note: Placement of pennant in the frame can vary slightly upon framing
